Wong Kim Ark is a Chinese American citizen born in California.Fought the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 which prohibited all immigration of Chinese laborers for 10 years.
Ark sued America in United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898) further defined the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution.
Becasue of his work all people born in the united states automatically became a U.S. citizen at birth.
